Business Sponsorship/Participation Form

The City of Avon is proud to host and support several community events each year.  These events provide the perfect opportunity to bring our residents together with our business community.  Below are several events planned for 2019 that we invite you to either sponsor or participate in.  You make these events possible!!

Sponsorship/Donation: All sponsors/donors will be recognized on allaboutavon.org, cityofavon.com, all City related social media and signage throughout the event.  Sponsors are also invited to bring a table to the event, hand out promotional literature, giveaways, activities, etc. (see each individual event for available sponsorship opportunities)

Participation: Businesses are invited to join us, free of charge, for specified events by bringing a table, handing out promotional literature, giveaways, provide games/activities, etc.  Participating businesses will be recognized on signage throughout the event. Ideas include seasonal or movie/event themed giveaways, face painting, games w/ small prizes, bottled water, juice boxes, snacks, craft activities, etc.  These are simply suggestions based on previous experience.  Feel free to provide any type of giveaway you would like for each event!

Avon Senior Center Annual Spring Luncheon

Wednesday, May 8th

11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Doors open at 11:00 a.m.)

Seniors will enjoy a buffet style lunch followed by entertainment from the Polka Pirates!

We are looking for raffle items such as gift baskets, gift cards, etc. It is suggested that raffle items be valued at $25 or more. Please drop off any raffle items to Senior Center no later than Friday, May 3rd. All donors will receive a "thank you" plug in the next issue of the senior newsletter, "The Senior Buzz".

Lorain County Pride Day

Saturday, May 18th

9:00 a.m. - Noon

Estimated attendance (for purposes of donations): 100 youths

The City of Avon, in cooperation with the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District, sets aside a day each year to organize a community-wide clean-up and beautification of the city.  Recycling Grant funds are awarded each community in Lorain County, in part, based on reports that include Pride Day activities. The event encourages citizens to take Pride in their community by helping planting flowers, cleaning up parks, etc.  The City of Avon would like to reward the boys and girls who join in on the day’s activities and for showing pride in their community. 

We are looking for gift card or prize donations w/ a $10 (approx.) value for the 100 young boys and girls that take part in this Pride Day event.

Sponsorship opportunities:  Movie, Bounce House, Popcorn, Balloon Artist, Oversized Games (Connect Four, Jenga, Etc.), DJ, Movie Characters.

Super Hero Weekend

Super Hero Day

Located @ Avon Aquatic Facility

Saturday, September 14th

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (private lunch for our Super Hero Kids)

1:00 event opens to public

Estimated attendance: 500

Many of our Superhero kids are facing life-threatening illnesses. We dedicate this day to making them a hero for the day, with the help of an incredibly dedicated team of volunteer Superheroes. Our Superhero kids work alongside our Superhero volunteers to help save the Mayor and the City of Avon from the dastardly villains!

Please consider being part of this special day with us.

Sponsorship Opportunities:  Lunch (for our Superhero kids/families and volunteers) approx., 150, Dessert (cupcakes, cake, cookies, donuts) *, Superhero Decorations/Character Cutouts, Photo Booth, DJ, Signage.  All sponsorship donations are tax deductible through Superheroes to Kids in Ohio.

Participation opportunities: Promote your company and provide promotional literature and/or Super Hero themed giveaways/activities/crafts at your table.

*Dessert (cupcakes, cake, cookies and donuts) can either be donated and served by us or used as part of your giveaway at your table.  We just need yummy sweets for our Superhero kids!!

Super Hero Weekend (cont'd)

Super Hero Run

Located @ St. Mary of the Woods

Super Hero Run presented by St. Mary of the Woods and City of Avon. Super Hero fun continues Sunday for a 5k run and 1-mile walk. All proceeds of this run will benefit Every Child's Playground and the Super Heroes to Kids in Ohio organizations. This vendor tables will be moved inside in the event of inclement weather.

Donations:      Hay/Straw Bales (for a Hay Maze) = 500

                         Cornstalks = 25 bundles
